Penguins in 1Hi

Mrs. Higgins’ first graders invited me down to their classroom to teach me all about what they have learned about penguins today.  Truthfully, this was the highlight of my day.  These first graders told me so many facts that I had never heard before!  Did you know that penguins are great swimmers and they cannot fly?  Did you know that the Emperor Penguin Dads take care of the eggs?  The students also told me all about the different types of penguins and introduced me to a “penguin-cam” at Sea World in Orlando, Fl.   I was so impressed with their learning and their knowledge about penguins.
